SpeedI have a 2019 desktop Mac. The SD slot is on the back side of the monitor, not very convenient. This plugged into the USB-C slot and just hangs down so you can reach it from the front. It just downloaded 11 pictures ~ 2 seconds. I had an old card reader that used std USB and it did one picture ~ every 10 seconds.

Works perfectlyI don't understand the negative reviews of this item. It works perfectly on my 2021 MacBook Pro running the latest version of Big Sur. Like a lot of people, I had to buy a new means of transferring date via the USB C ports on my new laptop. It transfers data seamlessly from SD cards. It doesn't interfere with wifi, it's well made & sturdy, the cord is fine, and the price is right.

Worked like a charmInitially my PC did not recognize the reader. I then went to Disk Management, assigned a drive letter to it, and it worked flawlessly. Solidly built. It conveniently comes with two connectors: micro USB / micro USB, and USB 3.0 / micro USB.

Quality productAn amazingly robust device for the price. Where as others are made from the sort of plastic used to make trash cans, the Uni is made from a pretty solid lump of metal. Cards click securely in place like they would in a camera, rather than just slotting in with a dubious connection. And it's all connected by a neatly braided cable. I can't really verify speed since I mainly use it on my tablet, but transfer speeds are sufficient enough for me to dump hundreds of raw 20mp photos from my camera onto my tab in a reasonable time. Highly recommended, and I'll certainly be looking forward to any other peripherals this company might come out with

Good solid product; works wellI bought this for my son who is in college and who will be carrying this around between dorm, classroom, lab, and home. I wanted something that was built well and would withstand that sort of activity. While we have only had it a short time, it seems to be built very well, and it is small enough that it will not take up much room in a backpack.
