Very good docking stationI bought this docking station about two years ago and it worked without a hitch for two years, and then something happened and it stopped working. Since I was not sure why it stopped working, and other docking stations I used broke much sooner and performed terribly, I bought another one of these. That one performed perfectly well until one day it refused to cooperate and also deleted all the data from one of my disks (luckily it was back-up disk, so no data lost). I contacted the manufacturer and they sent me a new one right away, which I found encouraging. Finding a good, reliable docking station is terribly difficult these days, and this is the one that I have learned I can trust. However, just as all other external docking stations, this one depends on the USB connection/cable, and its own power source, both of which can influence its performance, so proper USB settings (sleep and such), are essential if you want a trouble-free experience.

Excellent Piece of HardwareThe drive dock is very small, smaller than a 6x9 envelope. The power button on the back is a simple push/click type that is easy to reach and takes very little pressure to turn on or off. Both 3.5" and 2.5" SATA drives fit in the bays.Offline cloning is simple. Place the source drive (drive intended to be copied) into the rear slot, place the destination drive into the front slot. Plug the Inateck unit into the wall with the supplied power adapter, press the power button to turn on the cloner. Wait a few moments for the drives to be detected (orange lights beside the drives will light up when they are detected). Then press and hold the clone button until the blue LED beside where it says 100% blinks. Let go of the clone button and press it once more releasing it quickly. The Inateck unit will start transferring the data from the old drive to the new one. Then its just a matter of waiting until the 100% led lights up solid to let you know its completed.

Save Yourself Time & Money. No Experience Needed.I can't afford a new computer every 2 years, but I can afford a newer, fast Hard Drive, now with Solid State Partitions for greater speed. Put the current HDD and a new one in this, and in a couple of hours, you've protected yourself from a dying hard drive and boasted your speed. Cheaper than taking it to the Computer Repair Shop.
